Application process
There are slight differences between the various airlines; in general the application process is running about the same way.
CAAC
Civil Aviation Administration of China
Is the aviation authority responsible for China, responsible for civil aviation agreements with other aviation authorities.
Commuting contract
Is a contract with regular travel between one's place of residence and place of work. It sometimes refers to any regular or often repeated traveling between these locations, even when not work-related.

Is a yearly paid reward for the pilot if he had no flight accident during the last 12 months. If there was any flight safety accident in the last 12-months period, the airline will have the right to decide whether pay the whole bonus or only a part of them based on Foreign Pilots Manual.

Pre check
Is a kind of short “check” to assist the pilots at the initial application. For this check we need only the following papers: detailed CV, copy of the pilot license, copy of the valid medical, copy of the valid passport
Renewal of licenses
The Chinese airline will only renew the Chinese documents (ATPL, Medical and Visa). The pilot is responsible for his own license by himself
Tax system
The salary of the individual pilot is always after tax and the pilot will get a tax certificate from his airline
Time for the application
The time from applying until flying as ready captain varies between the airlines and is between 1 and 5 months.
